Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Community & Municipal Relations Representative is responsible for
building and maintaining strategic relationships with local communities,
business groups, regulatory agencies and various non-profit and civic
organizations; and is involved in the development and implementation of
political strategies and media campaigns. The Community and Municipal
Representative also participates in the development of new business
initiatives, strategies and proposals; is involved in targeted community
outreach through community projects, events and sponsorship and is
focused on customer satisfaction within established District guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with local communities,
business groups, civic and non-profit organizations and regulatory
agencies.
- Attend and participate in appropriate, community, business and
government agency meetings, fundraisers and events.
- Attend and participate, on the companys behalf, in various community
projects and events.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic marketing and
outreach initiatives to develop new business opportunities and expand
existing business.
- Participate in the development and implementation of political
strategies, including monitoring grassroots campaigns, developing and maintaining
strategic political relationships.
- Monitor customer satisfaction through direct communication and
solicitation of feedback.
- Maintain awareness of competition and trends affecting the industry and
initiate strategies to capitalize on these trends.
- Participate and initiate in trainings and presentations as needed in a
positive and professional manner.
- Develop and submit required reports in a timely manner.
- Other special projects and tasks as assigned.
- Develop and maintain community contribution sponsorship program.

functions.
- Understanding of regulatory agencies functions, organization and
procedures.
- Understanding the sales process with the ability to generate new
business and expand or improve margins on existing business.

regulatory agency staff and representatives.
- Work cooperatively with other staff members; work effectively in
representing the Company within the community and the local government structure.

- Possess effective communicate skills both verbal and written.
- Experience presenting to large groups or organizations in a public
forum.
- Must be able to work evening and weekends
